I've actually been very happy with Cingular. It gives me the best coverage in
the places I go, the data plan is cheap, and the rollover minutes help.

When I've upgraded phones through Cingular I haven't had problems; it was only
this time when I let a 3rd party do it that things got messed up. And Cingular
fixed them immediately.

YMMV, I guess.

Whenever I start thinking that Cingular might be a carrier for me to
look at, all it takes is one of these frequent discussions to cool my jets.
T-Mobile may have had relatively limited coverage, but they were always
pleasant and rational to deal with.

Verizon may be a bit stodgy and quaint and "just American", but it's solid and
the people are *very* good. While I had an interesting trial period on a
built-in card in my laptop (which I don't use now that I
have the 700p), every experience with they related to the Treo has been quite
satisfactory.

The New AT&T which was Cingular which was the Old AT&T doesn't sound like
they've changed their habits much.

I'm happy where I am!!

Cheers,

Don

There ya go! But I'm pretty used to the kids they hire in those places.
I find one who knows his stuff, I give him my biz. Trouble is, if he's
really any good, he won't last long; most times he'll have enough
gumption to move on to some real money.
And if I can't come to an agreement, I don't argue. They just never
see me again, and I wait a couple days for the new 680 to show up from
Calif. or wherever Palm's got it inventoried.
