Yeah, the sound isolation is really amazing in the Fontopias as well. I
bought the Seidio ones and didn't like them and returned them. One of
the few I was careful enough with to return.

Don't know if anyone here has heard of the Denver Broncos, or of how
rabid the fans are, but suffice it to say that the noise at a Bronco
game (especially when the other team has the ball) is literally
deafening. I used to wear ear plugs of the hunting variety, but the
Fontopia headphones do just as good a job of blocking out the ambient
noise, and give me the extra added bonus, when hooked up to my little AM
radio (no streaming of football games over the internet unless you pay,
and even then I'm sure there would be a disconcerting streaming delay --
some old fashioned things work better) I get the added bonus of my ear
plugs giving me play-by-play of the game in real time.

They also work well with the Treo, with the addition of the little
Seidio 2.5mm to 3.5mm (much better than Palm's one) adapter.

They look cool in all white and silver, and they work miles better than
the headphones that come with the iPod.

FYI, they are wrap around the neck" sort. That is, from the device (AM
radio, Treo, Laptop), the twin cables meander their 5' length only to
split unevenly at the end. The point is to run one directly to the ear
that is closest to the device, and wrap the other around one's neck and
then put it in the other ear. I find this VERY satisfactory. If I need
to take them out for a minute, I can just let them hang down. With
normal, symmetrical headphones, I'd have to put them in my pocket or
allow them to fall to the ground.

Cheers,
Don

I use Seidio retractable isolators.
I wish everybody did so that I wouldn't hear 3 guys' ipods changing next
to me on the subway every day!

Thanks a million, Don! Those look great and at a good price -- I think
I'll give them a go.
