I tried SlovoEd and really liked the multiple translations, the examples
of use, the flash cards -- but the test drive was the Deluxe version and
I didn't feel comfortable (right now, anyway) spending $60 on the bells
and whistles.
I tried the M-W that works with eReader Pro -- I needed a little
more help than was available.
I finally settled on Handmark's Oxford dictionary, It gives me a
nice balance between the big-bucks offering and the barebones.
Though one day I may decide to go for the SlovoEd -- hough I've got
Rosetta Stone on my laptop and I'm working with it and by the time I'm
thinking seriously of spending the money on SlovoEd, I probably won't
need it.

/The erasure of a human subspecies is largely painless -- to us -- if we
know little enough about it. A dead Chinaman is of little import to us
whose awareness of things Chinese is bounded by an occasional dish of
chow mein. We grieve only for what we know./
