Don,

My card protrudes by a millimeter or two on my 700P. Not much. I can't say
it's ever gotten dislodged accidentally, but that might have something to do
with the case, which is one of those plastic clear cases. It covers most of
the top but has an opening so you can access the volume/vibrate button and the
SD card, so the SD card does not protrude over the edge of the case. With my
650 and 600 I had numerous issues with the SD card coming out accidentally.
For those I had Vaja cases...

Subject: Re: [Treo] protruding SD card on 700p

I don't know how far up it sticks on the 700P, but I did exactly that on
my 650. I don't know exactly where the chip is located (next time I have
a card go bad maybe I'll remember to bust it open) but sanding the
corners and smoothing a little curve to the top didn't hurt a thing.
Also, I found a really workable holster at Lowes, by NiteIze,
canvas, comes in black, green or blue, about $15, flap over the top
that's not so tight it presses the SD (the way an earlier holster did
that made me sand down the top of my card).
