I bought a canvas cell phone pouch (by NiteIze) from Lowes. It holds the
Treo just dandy, and the belt clip is about the best you could want.
And I cover the screen with the plastic screen protectors from
Staples. I'm not much a keyboard person -- I write on the screen most of
the time -- and the protectors work great. They need replacing about
once a month or so -- which I guess is why they're by the dozen (I
think) in the package.
I've tried several other cases, but although one or two looked
nicer, they weren't nearly as protective of a device I have to regularly
remove to use.

/The erasure of a human subspecies is largely painless -- to us -- if we
know little enough about it. A dead Chinaman is of little import to us
whose awareness of things Chinese is bounded by an occasional dish of
chow mein. We grieve only for what we know./
