Use the same user name (hotsync id) so that you can keep your software
registrations.

How is that you currently sync on the 650 - what would you want to do
that's different?

Unless you're having battery problems, or giving the 700 to someone,
there's no real reason to do a zero out reset.

I'm not sure about on a Mac, but on a PC there are different conduits
with the 700 than the 650, so it's advisable to upgrade.

Registrations are tied to your hotsync name for most apps. There are a
few exceptions (Mundu for example) that are tied to the device and you
will have to contact the developer.

Correct.

There hasn't been an update yet, so whatever is on the 700 is the latest.

Just make sure you add your apps in one at a time and don't do a full
restore from your 650 to the 700.
