Because there are times when a stylus is the only, or best, way to do things. Card-type games work best with a stylus. And, forex, I just installed a new (to me) piece of software that doesn't seem to even know about the 5-way at all, not even the select/OK button. And the stylus that comes stock is too light and too flimsy. I want a heavier-weight, sturdier one. Preferably made out of plastic, not metal, so it won't interfere with the cellular (or BT) radio.
