The VersaMail filters could definitely stand to be improved. If it's any consolation, I've recently discovered that the VersaMail on the Treo 700p is a bit more powerful (more options) than the older version that comes on the Palm TX PDA.
As for your particular question about filering out mail that contains both SPAM and JUNK in the subject line, perhaps creating two separate rules would do the trick, one for each offending string? Hopefully it will treat the two rules as "ANDs" rather than "ORs". George ----- Original Message ----- From: "Don Pomplun" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> OK, that's a start. That works as long as you only want to not download messages with SPAM in the subject. How about not retrieving emails with SPAM or JUNK in the subject? The problem I see is that the filtering OR's your filter criteria, rather than AND'ing them. I don't see any means to AND your filters, do you? -- Don At 03:48 PM 6/1/2007, you wrote: > From: Don Pomplun <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >« I want to download all except ones with certain subjects. » > >I have my Versamail filters set to download all mail except for >subjects >containing the string "SPAM". > >The rule goes something like this: >If the Subject does not contain "SPAM" then retrieve the message. > >Messages with "SPAM" in the subject stay on the server to be dealt with >later. > >George > > >-----Original Message----- > >From: Don Pomplun <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > >Am I an idiot or too ingrained in the Eudora idiom (no answer actually >requested). > >When I set a filter in versamail to trash emails with certain subjects, >it >appears to only retrieve ones fitting that filter criteria and not >download >any others.
