I'm on a 700P and I've not had any such problem. Personally, I've not found
enough to warrant $30.

Has VM always done this with your 680? Have you done a uninstall then reinstall?

That would certainly be consistent with a plethora of Palm
programming
 examples.
Actually, the Get: parameter has two options -- Subject only and
 Entire message
So I guess what's happening is "entire message up to 5,120Kb" -- and
since the Treo is somewhat limited, storage-wise, I suppose it makes
 some kind of sense.
Also, I think with the measurement test I ran illustrates why some
apparently short and simple messages are being truncated.
 But --
The limitation is arbitrary. Even after the message has been chopped
short, I may, if I wish, download the rest of the message. Since I have
an unlimited-data account, I often do that.

So I'm thinking of trying Chatter or Snapper -- one of them is
rumored to be better for POP, the other for IMAP. I'm POP, H-m-m-m-mmmm.
