Therein lies one of the problems of mail order. The newegg version is
pictured in ThinkOutside packaging, and calls itself a Stowaway. And
when you follow the "manufacturers product page" link, there's the iGo,
formerly ThinkOutside, Stowaway for $50 more, except now it's called iGo
-- and the iGo site does not show the packaging, but in Best Buy the iGo
Stowaway is in different packaging than what's shown in NewEgg, and at
the same price as the mfg. site.
So, the last time I ordered from an egg, is was called Egghead. I've
always wondered whether NewEgg was the same outfit, repackaged. Egghead
had good stuff at great prices.
The problem here is the price is so great I have to wonder about it
being the product I want. And returning online ordered stuff is a pain
in the butt.
On the other hand, maybe for the use I have, I should order the less
expensive. Maybe if the $129 version is so much better than the $79
version, I'll not notice. And the packaging will be in a landfill within
a few days, so ...
