A few weeks ago, I bought the Seidio battery for the 680, and it's
working fine. Some listers may remember me asking why the biggest Seidio
wasn't available for the 680 and Kaplan asking just how fat I wanted the
phone, anyway.
The answers are this is a big enough battery and the phone is now
fat enough.
Instructions say to discharge/recharge a couple cycles to strengthen
the battery? It takes almost three days to run the darn thing down close
enough to zero to do any good.
I have an email account set to download mail every 15 minutes
between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. (outside those hours, I'm either near my
laptop or I don't care or I can manually Get mail if I do.) My monthly
data usage is about 10Mb. I rarely browse the web, so that's a lot of
email. (And it doesn't count these lists which are on accounts I rarely,
and only manually, check on the Treo.)
Voice usage about 750 minutes a month (I have a spreadsheet where I
track such things). I don't send a lot of text messages, and IM is
something I use even less (they fall in the category of indispensable
tools only sometimes, otherwise they just sit there waiting).
TJM - YMMV
