There's room in the world for Palm and Apple, iPhone and Treo. There's no reason why the prospect of the iPhone should influence their output.
Palm will be better if it compares itself to Palm. If they continue to improve they can succede. That is what the MR is attempt to do: improve the 700P. I applaud them for that. From what I can see Palm are making their best effort to improve and that's all they can do. Let Apple be Apple and Palm be Palm.
