UPDATE.

This issue was reported to be caused by Verizon's spam filter.

Today I received notice that they'd corrected it.

I am happy to report that the 6-character text string consisting of

the letter "c" followed by any single character, followed by the word "trap"

no longer causes an SMTP connection to vtext.com to be refused.

My alert pages now go through unscathed!

Thanks Verizon, and thanks in particular to Mark Campagna.

You afforded me excellent support through an unexpected channel.

J
