I don't use Versamail, don't know what it can do .... besides crash, the few times I tried it.

POP? IMAP? Your sig shows you mastered Chatter basics. Guessing -- if you ask how to delete a Chatter message from IMAP server, hilight or open the message & press D. This will mark the message 'deleted' on the IMAP server the next time Chatter syncs. Fastmail.fm shows deleted msgs as strikethru, they can then be undeleted or permantly deleted. To permanently delete from server using Chatter, use menu-O to expunge messages in a folder that were marked for deletion. Note, mailbox-edit > Other optionally lets you select a server folder to store deleted messages. I move mine to 'Trash'. Then there's the very useful (J)unk command .... but that's another topic.
