thanks, bill, but i am a mac guy. i may have to reformat, but, if possible, i'd like to avoid. TomTom sees that as a new device, I believe, and it is a hassle. but if it will speed things up, i'll do it. i reverted from v. 6.030 to what came on the DVD, v. 6.010. seems to run better, but i'll test on the way home after work.
