I've had exactly the opposite experience. PDANet works
pretty well. It's not as fast as cable/DSL, but it was
faster than dial-up. I used it for several hours on a
driving trip from Chicago to Omaha and it was great.
THere were some drops when we went into an area where
the signal was bad, but overall it's worked very well.
I've used it on my 600, 650 and now my 680, and it's
worked well on each.
