The one significant thing that the treo's don't support is dialing directly from the headset (press the button the headset, then scroll through numbers, and/or just redial the last call). Of course, voice dialing from the headset would be nce, but nobody does that. > For instance, the Treo650 doesn't support caller ID to the headset; > you can't voice dial through the headset, etc. etc. -- but some of them > were just dandy as long as you didn't care those things didn't work. > I had a Sony Ericsson headset with caller id, and it was able to display the caller ID from my 650. I loved that headset! Unfortunately, the battery went kaput and they stopped making it, so I currently use a Plantronics 645. The Plantronics is good, but I do miss the caller ID from the Sony. I've recently been thinking about the Jabra with caller ID (the BT 800?), but I like the in-ear style of the Plantronics. Too many choices, but none exactly like what I want! > I was about to buy a Jabra JX-10, which boasted some pretty cool > noise reduction capability, but fell into the "not compatible with" trap > and didn't. I think the best thing to do is buy and try. As long as you can return them, that's the only way to see if you'll really like a headset anyway.
