Sounds like you're using version 12 of Agendus? There's a thread on the Iambic forums now about people getting alarms for long (years) expired appointments.
If your appointments are looking right in Outlook, I would go ahead and delete your calendar db from your Treo, then sync making sure your desktop settings overwrite the handheld for calendar info.
