Gary, to my knowledge it is extremely difficult to impossible to SWITCH to a SERO plan once you have a different plan from Sprint. This may have changed, but when I signed up a little over a year ago I made the mistake of thinking that I could get a non-SERO plan and then switch over once my wife's plan's contract ran out on Tmobile and we could sign her up on SERO and then switch me over. It took a lot of work to get this done and the main reason I think I was able to succeed was because I actually DO have a friend who works for Sprint and she was able to get me to their internal support dept. where a very nice woman worked with me for a couple of weeks as we got things straight. You might want to check over at Sprintusers.com. There is a lot of discussion about Sprint plans including SERO and there may be tricks to get it. Perhaps if you call "retentions" and say that your contract is up, and you are shopping for other carriers. Mention you are thinking of getting an iPhone! ;-) Say you have heard of SERO and know that this would save you a lot of money so if you could get it you would stay, but otherwise you will probably go. Something like that. Just a suggestion, I'm no expert in this area! Good luck!
