It been awhile since I had the problem but I just remembered the outcome of a rather long conversation with a Cingular tech. Try this:
incoming: this should be your ISP. outgoing since you're using Cingular, this should be cxmx.com Now tap the Advanced button: Incoming server settings Port Number 110 Do not check either SSL or APOP Outgoing server settings Port Number 25 Do not check either SSL or ESMTP I don't understand a bit of it.
