Did you try the trial versions of Snapper and Chatter? If so was there any improvent?

Slow to connect, slow to get the list of messages, and slow to react to input. Retrieval of actual specific bodies has reasonable speed. This is with POP. When I was trying to use IMAP, it was even slower. And it gets slower the more messages there are. It's not just seeming to take longer because there is more data to retrieve, it is actually slower. I had tested Agendus Mail and for the same amount of data, Agendus Mail was at least twice as fast in everything. I've also had numerous crashes using Versamail, usually when trying to deal with 'lots' of messages, typically somewhere over 60 emails (I'm on several mailing lists, a couple of which are high-volume, plus a lot of spam). It's wise to assume that deathtrap manufacturers' brochures base their Estimated Time to Kill (ETK) on tests using non-heroes, and test only the minimum ETK. Therefore, Heroes trapped in a non-instantaneous deathtrap should remain there a minimum of several times longer than its ETK, and even then should be treated as potentially dangerous until any remains are incinerated.
