I finally settled on a Plantronics 655 and I've been pretty happy.
= it sounds good.
= it fits good, even without the ear loop
= it has a nifty shirt pocket case in which it vibrates when a call comes in
= it's range from the phone isn't as good as the Cardo Scala 500 it
replaced, but when it loses contact outbound, it quickly regains it when
it's back in range.
The Jawbone had my newest-tech-lust working overtime until I started
reading about it doesn't fit well, the connector can be a problem, sound
is less than hi-fi, there's a new one coming, there's one specially for
the 680, etc.
My biggest problem wasn't the list of problems but that they were
all over the board, depending on who was evaluating. Very few users
seemed happy. Plus, no one had them in stock -- because Aliph isn't
supplying more bad reviews, perhaps?
I tried the Plantronics Explorer a couple years ago and didn't like
it, but there were some good review with the latest offerings. Couldn't
get the very latest anywhere, but the 655 is doing just fine.
