The 680 and 755 are not as "snappy" as the 650, but that's the price of their increased stability.
Try this: 1. Hard reset the 755 and test it while empty. Is it a lot "snappier"? If not, then you're just noticing the natural difference between it and the 650; restore your data and enjoy the day. Otherwise, go to step 2. 2. Rename your desktop backup directory and Hotsync; that'll load just your PIM data. If, with just your PIM data on board, the Treo becomes noticiably "laggy", you may have corrupted dbs. Download DbFixit and run Easy Ck; if that shows a lot of problems in the Contacts and Calendar dbs, you should buy the app and fix them. (This made a big difference on my 680; my Contacts db was badly corrupted and bloated, corrupted BLOBs, etc). If, on the other hand, there's not much difference in feel between the empty Treo and the Treo with PIM data only, then the problem lies with one or more of your 3rd party apps. Reinstall one or two at a time until you discover the culprit(s). _______ Bill > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On > Behalf Of sjkats > Sent: Tuesday, August 07, 2007 9:54 AM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [Treo] Re: Slow 755p > > Clean and fresh install.
