I've no idea what .MV4 is, but the .mp4 *filename extension* (not a format) is simply a designate of the MPEG4 family of video formats and could be any of a huge number of actual MPEG4 variants.
I'm curious what you're trying to play as TCPMP handles everything I've thrown at it MPEG4-wise. Are you sure you've installed all the relevant TCPMP plug-ins?
