I recently purchased a Plantronics 655 to replace a lost Plantronics
340 with which I was fairly satisfied (it had been the first BT
headset I had ever used). However, my understanding is that once
"paired" to my Treo 680 in the standard wireless pairing process
during setup, it should simply pick up on either calls received by or
placed from my Treo if both are on and in proximity. A number of
times, I have had to turn the BT phone setting off and on again or
the headset off and on again or even go so far as to repair the two
instead of the automatic connection taking place as it should during
routine calling. This has happened with both the 340 and now the 655.
Does anyone know why this occurs?
Thanks,
Dick
