I recently took a trip out to the west coast, going through ND, MT, and WA.
Let me tell you, the data situation was horrible. Data was horrendously
slow. I had to stop & restart lots of requests for web pages, email,
google maps, etc. Lots of dat that would normally take under a minute took
several minutes. The data would come to a complete stop in midstream and
hang for a couple minutes before proceeding. Even downloading email was
torture. I thought something was wrong with my device.

Missoula, MT is a university town, so I thought they'd have better data
transmission there, but it sucked there, too. It wasn't until my return
trip, crossing into WI that things returned to normal.

Anybody else ever encounter this? This was on AT&T's network. Just a few
more months and I'll be seeing them in my figurative rearview mirror...
