Yes, a restore HotSync should bring back all your files, including the message database.
If for some reason it does not, look in your backup folder (might be C:\Program Files\Palm\<user name>\Backup), and you should see a file named Messages_Database.PDB. Double-click this to open up the Palm Quick Install tool. At your next HotSync the messages should be back. Randal
