I was in Ireland earlier this week, and took along my old 650 to use as a local phone, while toting the 680 for email and to be reachable in case somebody needed me. Charged up the 650, got a SIM card at the airport and was in business. The strange thing was - the phone stays charged! The little blue thing hardly moves at all.
The 680, OTOH, requires a daily charge, and sometimes needs to have the spare battery put in. I had not experienced the difference so starkly before. The 680 battery performance is really just - bad.
