I have it. The only things I don't like are the slippery plastic and the hard
to remove/replace battery door cover. I would have preferred the coating that
the 755p has.

It is a solid phone. The screen looks great. The keyboard is VERY functional.
The speaker is LOUD (way louder and clearer than my 755p). It can do everything
my 755p can do. My wife has never had a smartphone and she created a personal
ringer (our daughters calling here name), took a picture of the girls and added
both the ringer and pic to the contact for our home number, setup her free
Yahoo email account on the Sprint Mobile email, put the owner's info in it and
locked it down with a password on day one. She has grasps the concept and the
power pretty quickly. I boosted the performance by adding the "Essential Palm
Centro Freeware" apps that I adopted from my very own "Essential Treo 755p
Freeware" apps list.

We both love it.

The plan warrant discussion because in order to get the $99 price, you do have
to pay an arm and a leg for the service.

This something that feature & flip phone users need to know: they may never
have had a data plan or their phone, so their phone bill will increase by
$15-$30 dollars a month. With all the Internet based apps, you do need a data
plan to enjoy the phone (otherwise why get the phone and miss out on the
"connected" features.

I wouldn't trade a few months old 755p phone just to get one (even if company
would pay for it).

Would I give my 755p for it? Not as long as my company pays for the phone and
services. If I left the company, I would take my number (i brought it with me)
and put it on a SERO plan on the Centro.

Thanks,
I'll see you on the web!

Subject: [Treo] Centro - has anyone actually used it yet?
To: [EMAIL PROTECTED]: [email protected]

The thread on the Centro certainly digressed from a review of the phone
into a discussion on plans, rates, etc. LOL!

I've always thought my 755p felt clunky and not like a 'real' phone.
I'm tempted to check out the Centro, even though I just barely figured
out all the features of my 755p!

 Anyone? Anyone?
