With the rumored GoogleOS for Smartphones
(http://www.nytimes.com/2007/10/08/business/media/08googlephone.html?_r=4&hp&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin&oref=slogin)
and the announced new version of the BlackberryOS for the new 9xxx series
Blackberry phones (with expected 600 Mhz processors, 3G and simultaneous
voice/data capabilities), and Palm telling us that the PalmOS Linux will only
be available end-2008, start of 2009, were it not for the Windows Mobile
versions of the Treo Palm is releasing, I would say it would not resist next
year...

Worse, Apple has been quoted as saying that third-party applications (signed by
Apple) WILL be supported in current iPhone through a firmware release, possibly
available somewhere in february.

I'm considering the HTC tytn II, the HTC 6500, or even one of these new
Blackberries series 9xxx that will surface next year. Who knows, maybe even an
iPhone 2, which is rumored for 2008.

Yep, if case nobody noticed, ALL those devices will come BEFORE Palm's Treo
with the new PalmOS Linux. What a grim year 2008 will be for them...
