Yep, I remember the 700p hiccupping when pTunes (or mOcean) turned the display off. Not the Centro. I think it's the same processor as the 700p and the 755p, isn't it? The 755p seemed a bit zippier than the 700p, but the Centro is noticeably zippier than the 755p.
This will be an interesting year, upcoming, yes? I really hope Palm gets their collective rears in gear to head off the buzz from other quarters. I still think the biggest threat to PalmOS is Blackberry, since they are pretty similar. Palm devices have an edge with the touch screen and the fact that "corporate email" (via Exchange) is supported natively by Versamail and by Exchange, so no intermediate layer of expensive servers (in Canada?) needed or requiring payment, but the similarities run fairly deep making a transition from Palm to BB easier than from Palm to anything else.
