it's the HTML code. It's only on gmail imap. If the same mail is loaded under 
pop on chatter, the msg shows correctly.

Probably has something to do with the way that the sender sent it to you, 
which you cannot control.  Most likely an encoding problem or 
incompatibility, unless you're simply seeing the HTML code.  If it's just 
the HTML, it may be formatted in a way that Chatter does not understand.
