I sought information but could not find the slightest consensus. I went with my gut. Here are my findings.
1. I had the H700 but lost it. It served me well and I recommend it. I was able to purchase it for around $40 with Internet search. It was VERY comfortable and with Volume Care, I was able to hear well. The downside was that it was terrible for the people on the other end because it picked up the slightest background noise. I recommend the H700 if background is not a factor. My need became the best bluetooth with the best background block. Part of the game is the price. I don't like to pay the list price and I enjoy the game. Finally I purchased a brand x from the office supply just to get any bluetooth because all the Jawbone prices were locally $120 to $150. Internet and Ebay were $100 plus shipping if you read the fine print and get the earpieces and chargers. (Don't order a jawbone without them) 2. Jawbone: I disagree with most negative comments I have read. The conclusion is most positive. I purchased for under $90 at a phone store. A creative sales person refused to let me go until he made a sale. I told him to make it under $100 and it was a deal. I believe that some national account has a cash sale to their credit. I love the Jawbone. I don't like the look of it and it could be more comfortable but the positives far outweigh the negatives. I concluded that those who think that the Jawbone is NOT comfortable, were to impatient to work with the optional ear pieces and ear plugs to set it up properly. Also, keep in mind that I have a ringing in my ears and slight hearing loss. I have Volume Care program which is essential with the Treo. I am mostly in the car, outdoors, or in a public setting such as retail store or shopping center. Here are the marks I give the H700 and the Jawbone on a 1-10 scale. 1=Unacceptable 10=I cannot imagine it could be improved. Comfort: H10, J8 Hearing (sound quality): H9, J7 Volume with Volume Care: H8, J9 Background Noise (to the guy on the other end) H3, J10 Ease of Connection: H9, J9 Apparent Durability: H8, J6 Ease of carrying and protecting: H9, J5 Carrying Case: Both need one, especially Jawbone. Cannot find one. H1, J1 Signal Strength: (Sound varies as I walk around the room or get near or far to monitor interference) H5, J9 Both the H and the J drop off the Treo thus I must assume this is a function of the Treo 680. This is a problem. I hope this evaluation helps. RVA [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
