I assume other people here have already encountered this, but I figured I
would outline my experience with it so far.

I have a Sprint Treo 700p with the 1.10 ROM update. The built-in "Card
Info" program incorrectly reports the size of my newly purchased Transcend
8GB SDHC card. The following is shown in the Windows XP "Properties"
window for the drive mapped via my card reader:

2.77 GB used
4.68 GB free
7.46 GB total size

Card Info on my handheld shows this:

2840.0 MB used
704.5 MB free of 3544.5 MB

Quite obviously, the size misinformation from the "Card Info" program is
caused by using 32-bit values. Using a 32-bit value (as long as it's
unsigned), the size reporting is only capable of up to 4GB. The same thing
happens in the current version (v5.43) of my preferred launcher, ZLauncher.

I have reported this problem to ZZTechs, producers of ZLauncher. They have
responded by assuring me that a fix will be in a future release, but did
not specify which release or when it'll be available. We all now have to
suspect any program which can access SDHC cards. If said programs use
32-bit values, their data could possibly become corrupted if a card larger
than 4GB is used. It's possible that NVFS could mask that and prevent the
corruption, but there is no way to know for sure. Keep an eye out,
everyone.

Now the question is how do I/we go about getting Sprint or Palm to fix this
blatant issue with the "Card Info" program in our 700p handhelds??
