I thought this kind of location technology only works on CDMA phones.  
If I'm right about that, then it couldn't possibly work on the 680 
(which is GSM).

My personal preference would be to be able to link an external GPS 
receiver to Google Maps.  That way I could by the receiver for $75 or 
so, and not have to fork over a couple hundred more dollars for the maps.

Anybody know if this is possible?
