I've only gotten one spam message. Boy, was I pissed. In Japan, they get
them all the time. Instead of phone number-based SMS, they use user-names.
They've resorted to using extremely complex user names to keep it to a
minimum. One writer's daughter had a user name consisting of about 30
different words and hyphens. He said if she didn't do that, she'd be
getting SMS spam all day.
