Are you talking about the newest AT&T upgrade for the 680? I have installed it and have no problems.
I have been having the Tealbackup problem for a while now, even before the upgrade. It will not do an automatic backup if the bluetooth is off. Somehow the key guard gets in the way when bluetooth is disabled.
