I use two standing countdown timers to remind me about some housework
items that complete themselves unattended.

I have "network time" turned off in the cellular radio because at&t
time isn't accurate enough for meeting alarms. Normally, I sync the
time via TimeCopy to my PC which syncs via NTP to a time server. But
as I said, and you quoted, "for when I have to yank the battery...when
I cannot hotsync". The 680's clock resets to some random time when the
battery is pulled. It could wind up being off by only a minute or two,
or several days. On a hard reset, it could be off by several YEARS.

Tips for the Innocent Bystander: 25. If you come across a body, do not
walk slowly in the direction of a suspicious noise, or stand over the
body in a stunned state of shock. Instead, call the police on your cell
phone.
