Yes you missed somehting. :-) Time updates do not happen continually, but when 
you turn on the radio (that I know for sure) and maybe also when the Treo loses 
and regains radio signal. Depending on usage and location, a time update may 
not happen for days. A friend of mine has a Treo 680 that is losing sync daily, 
a few minutes per day.
