That's really worrisome. Didn't this question come up a couple of weeks
ago? This really sounds like a question Palm should answer. They set up
Versamail with this limitation that can only be gotten rid of by Hotsync,
and then don't have Hotsync conduits for the Vista version of the desktop.
Catch 22.

Let us know if you call Palm and if they offer a solution.

Cheers,
Don

Subject: [Treo] Mystery Versamail message

I had a problem getting email from my EAS account on Friday, and so
deleted the account, did a soft reset, and added it back. No luck,
so I deleted it again for the weekend (so I didn't have to look at
it.) Mistake!

Today, I tried to add it back and got this message: "All accounts
are in use. Deleted accounts can be re-used after performing a
HotSync."

The problem is that is don't HotSync -- I've been experimenting with
ONLY getting my fix via the web and via my EAS (Outlook) account over
the air. And it's been working well. Until now.

I'm assuming that HotSyncing now isn't going to restore anything.
I've also tried to delete another account (I was syncing 6 accounts,
3 yahoo, 2 gmail, and Outlook), but I can't add that one back either -
- same error message. (BTW, the original problem (we think) had to
do with a script the sysadmins have added to prompt users to change
their passwords once per month.)

It seems I need to "reset" Versamail. Any ideas? Will I have to
HotSync? I've managed thus far to add NO 3rd party apps and am not
looking forward to doing so...

Thanks for any help!
