That doesn't seem to be the case with the Centro. Whenever I tap the web app, mail, GoogleMaps, or OnDemand, a window pops up stating that it is necessary to connect to the internet and do I want to continue.
To toggle those things you mention, I just go into Prefs and it allows me to disconnect from the web and turn IR and BT on and off. :-) Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: Jeffrey Kaplan To: [email protected] Sent: Thursday, January 24, 2008 12:47 AM Subject: Re: [Treo] Tryda question Hello, Garden Writer. I deleted it as soon as I figured out it was the cause of my sudden and severe battery drain. With the 680, the network connection will ALWAYS stay open unless an app specifically has a setting to turn it off when done. This means that Google Maps, Web, Versamail, etc, all cause the same thing. I use HiLauncher. One of its features is the ability to show (and toggle) the network connection (also the cellular radio and IR beam receive). --. . [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
