I was never able to stop MBTT from reseting my Treo 700P. In addition, I found this technical note regarding Palm handheld problems. It is on a website of a software publisher for Mavis Beacon products called Encore.
I was able to receive a refund for version 16 using this technical note as support. I bought version 20 which does not include Palm compatibility and have settled for PC use only. If anyone has any experience with the v. 17 Palm OS application please post. http://support.encoreusa.com/kb.asp?id=240 Problem Tungsten Palms Lock upon installation of palm software Solution There is a known incompatability issue with the Palm Tungsten series and the palm software installed by Mavis Beacon 16. During the hotsync cleanup operation the Tungsten palm will lock. Upon reboot of the Tungsten, it will lockup on the Palm Powered title screen. The only way to fix this lockup would be to do a Hard Reset of your palm. Warning: A hard reset will erase everything on your device. All your data will be removed, and formats, preferences and other settings are restored to their factory default settings. After this is done, you can then do a hotsync to restore the data from your last hotsync operation. Our development team has been made aware of this issue.
