A freeware alternative is Diddlebug: http://diddlebug.sourceforge.net/ Works fine. Includes alarms. Has a very basic way to transfer data to other apps using free plugins If you want to be able to easily transfer data you scribble on the notepad to other apps, try a nonfreeware alternative called WriteNow: http://tinyurl.com/2qanl5 Very easy to transfer data to the native PIM apps. After you scribble your note, it lets you view that note in a small screen while providing your fields from Memopad, Addressbook, or Datebook (your choice), in which you fill in the data. Diddlebug is better for just jotting down notes and setting reminder alarms for those notes. Write Now is better for data transfer to native PIMs.
