Probably true, but still odd that the 755p would enter "on the way out" status. The Centro (my most recent Palm device) is a great device, but the screen IS a little smaller to my old(er) eyes, and the keyboard, while functional, is, IMNSHO, inferior to that of the 755p. The latter is probably the best keyboard of any Treo. That said, I don't believe the Centro keyboard slowed me down at all. While its keyboard is objectively inferior, it made no practical difference in usability.
To even start to phase out the 755p without an 800p or something to replace it (of similar size and construction), seems an odd decision, whoever made it. Maybe there's something contractual? Didn't Verizon just START selling the 755? Maybe that's it. The Centro is my favorite Treo ever, but some people still want a more "serious" looking device, and the 755p's look, size and build quality are perfect for that!
