I don't own stock in the company, but I make good use of my right to
gripe when I think it's warranted and should therefore offer a public
thanks when appropriate.
I finally got 'round to purchasing LauncherX. I'd been test driving
v1.2.37, which, for reasons later apparent, I likely downloaded from the
GoTreoSoftware because I'd Googled and found it there.
But when I got to purchase it, forgot where I got it and went to
PocketGear, from whence I've had previous good (read: uneventful)
experiences.
Alas, the "new" version I downloaded from there was v1.2.15. Which
really wasn't the cause of my problem with the Reg Code not working.
Somehow, I had got my email address into the Hotsync field.
I wrote to GoTreoSoftware, which wrote back saying it wasn't their
problem because they had an agreement with PocketGear. So I went to PG.
That was very late last night.
Cory Greene (at least that was the name on the email) told me this
morning what could have been the problem and how to fix it. I found it,
fixed it, and replied I'd done my part.
A couple minutes ago came back his response - a new reg code that
worked. Not bad, considering that notification to resolution took, out
of the listed working hours for PG support, about four hours.
