My original 650 lost the ability to use the Touchscreen. I bit the
bullet and did a hard reset but it failed to resolve the problem as on
rebooting I could only get as far as the Touchscreen and no farther so
rendered it unusable. I returned it to Palm UK for repair, got an
outrageous price so told them to shove it and went and bought a 700.
Unfortunately I recently dropped the 700 and broke the screen (luckily
covered by insurance in the UK but as I now live mainly in Thailand, I
have to wait till I return to get it fixed).
Consequently I have resurrected the 650, had it repaired here (for
about a quarter of the UK price) and it is now back in service.
Now the guy who repaired it said all he had done was updated the
firmware and it solved the problem but the Touchscreen has never been
100% reliable and seems to drift periodically and requires re-
synchronising.
I have searched the archives but not found any reference to this
problem so has anyone any ideas how I can fix it.
