[Treo] motorola bluetooth earpieces

Do motorola bluetooth earpieces only work with motorola phones? My 
neighbor gave me her old earpiece but I can't find the model number and 
a search on the site does not pull up treo enabled phones nor her 
couple of year old earpiece for directions.
