[Treo] centro + 8bg adata card

so i just bought a new 8gb adata class 6 SDHC card and when i put it in, it 
only shows up as 4 gig.. is there something i need to do to get it to regonize 
the 8 gig? i tried reformatting it on the palm, and still i get 4 gig, and the 
pc still shows it as almost 8 gig free...
