No no no. Nothing like that.

Best case, you use the Google-provided bulk email importer in my previous
post.

Worst case you set up Gmail as an IMAP account in Outlook and move folders
over directly from personal folders in Outlook to folders in the Gmail IMAP
account.

Either one works. The latter is intuitive but takes way longer.

Outlook Express must never darken our doors again - that way lies madness!!

Cheers,

Don

Subject: Re: [Treo] Switching from Exchange to Gmail/Google Calendar

I've attempted to move Outlook email to Gmail once - and it was an
involved process. I had to import the pst file into Outlook Express to
have it convert it to a dbx file, then use a command line utility to
convert to mbox, then use Pine mail (which i think is called something
else now) on my Mac Mini to group-bounce the messages to google. At
the time I read somewhere that I could also have imported directly to
Eudora (which stores as mbox).

Of course this was 3 years ago. What I did when I needed to do this a
few weeks ago was setup Gmail IMAP on outlook, then move the folder
from my local to the Imap. Worked great and even kept the correct
arrival date (which the mbox-pine method didn't).
