Ok, so after I posted this, I finally woke up and realized that I've been
paying the insurance all this time on my VZ account. So I called Assurion, just
to see if I could HAPPEN to get a 755p replacement (not only touchscreen prob,
but headset jack hasn't worked in a long time).

Whaddya know...they are overnighting me a 755p!
But I had to pay $50 deductible (1 yr warranty expired), and there's a $50 fee
if I don't return the old phone.

I went on Ebay and saw I could get a new "buy it now" 755p for about $110-120,
and some refurbished ones (which I'm sure is what I'm getting) for about
$80-100. Some of them come from VZ and were display models, which I'm not sure
I would trust completely after seeing what people do to them in the
store...yeah.

My question: How do you all feel about the ins they offer, and is the insurance
worth it to get a replacement like this (I pay $5.99/mo,feelin a little ripped
off right now).

The one benefit I see: If something is wrong with the replacement they are
sending me, I can send it back and hopefully get another 755p. If off of
Ebay,...well, I guess I'd hope to be lucky it works like they say it does.

I'm thinking of not sending back the old one so I'll have it as a backup
(upgrade is in Nov, but not sure I'm ready for Pre yet).
I'd be out $100, but I'd pay about that for one off Ebay anyway.

On that note, does anyone have a solution for my screen calibration problem
(mentioned below)?

Also, not related: Can someone tell me if the 755p has an ARM processor?
I just bought an app at this website and they had an upgrade for ARM Palm
devices.

And thanks Craig, for the results of that pole...very interesting!
